Their are several species of Armadillos. All armadillos are from the Americas with only one species from North America- the nine banded. South America is home to the giant armadillo, three banded armadillo- which is the only one that can roll into a complete ball and the 6 banded armadillo. Pictured at left is the 6 banded armadillo. These guys are curious and love to eat!
